Terms of Use

Lumenara is a digital experience created to encourage reflection, contemplation, curiosity, and personal insight.

Users may hold a private question or intention in mind and draw a randomly selected Lumenara Guide. Each Guide contains original artwork and written reflections intended to offer a moment of pause and perspective.

Lumenara does not ask you to disclose the private question, intention, or thought you hold in mind while drawing a Guide.

Lumenara is intended for personal reflection, inspiration, and entertainment.

Lumenara Guides and other content do not predict the future and should not be understood as statements of fact, guarantees, instructions, or professional advice.

Any meaning or significance you choose to find in a Guide is personal to you.

You remain responsible for your own choices, decisions, actions, and wellbeing.

Nothing provided through Lumenara constitutes or replaces professional:

• — mental health or psychological care;
• — legal advice;
• — financial or investment advice;
• — emergency assistance; or
• — other professional services.

Do not rely on Lumenara to make decisions requiring qualified professional judgment.

If you require professional assistance, please consult an appropriately qualified professional.

You may use Lumenara for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes.

You agree not to:

• — use Lumenara for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes;
• — attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the service;
• — attempt to gain unauthorized access to Lumenara systems, databases, accounts, or infrastructure;
• — use automated systems to scrape, copy, harvest, or systematically extract Lumenara content or data without permission;
• — reproduce, republish, sell, distribute, or commercially exploit Lumenara content without authorization;
• — impersonate Lumenara or misrepresent an affiliation with Lumenara; or
• — use Lumenara in a manner that infringes the rights of others.

We may restrict or prevent access where reasonably necessary to protect Lumenara, its users, its intellectual property, or its systems.

Lumenara and its original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

This includes, where applicable:

• — the Lumenara name and branding;
• — the Lumenara Guides;
• — Guide titles and original written content;
• — reflections, affirmations, questions, and closing thoughts;
• — original artwork and illustrations;
• — visual design and creative elements;
• — The Lumenara Journal;
• — website and application content; and
• — other original materials created for Lumenara.

Unless otherwise stated, these materials are owned by or used with authorization by Jean-François Rondeau.

Your use of Lumenara does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property to you.

You may share links to Lumenara and may share limited excerpts for personal, non-commercial purposes with appropriate attribution where permitted by law.

You may not reproduce, copy, create derivative commercial products from, sell, license, systematically extract, or commercially exploit substantial portions of Lumenara content without prior written permission.

Lumenara Guides are selected through the application's programmed selection process.

A Guide appearing at a particular moment does not constitute a factual prediction, guarantee, supernatural claim, or professional recommendation.

The experience is designed to support reflection. The interpretation and personal significance of a Guide remain with the user.

When you request a Guide by email, the terms presented at the time of submission will explain whether you are also joining The Lumenara Journal.

The Lumenara Journal may include weekly letters, cosmic notes, Mercury-related content, curious quirks, reflections, and other Lumenara content.

You may unsubscribe from The Lumenara Journal at any time using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in Journal emails.

Transactional or service-related communications may be treated separately where permitted by applicable law.

For information about how personal information is handled, please review the Lumenara Privacy Policy.

Lumenara relies on third-party service providers and technology infrastructure to operate.

These may include services used for hosting, databases, storage, email delivery, subscriber management, and application infrastructure.

Your use of certain features may involve these third-party services.

Lumenara is not responsible for independent third-party services beyond the extent required by applicable law.

We aim to provide a reliable and thoughtful experience, but we do not guarantee that Lumenara will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or unchanged.

We may:

• — modify features;
• — improve or redesign the experience;
• — add or remove content;
• — temporarily suspend parts of the service;
• — introduce new services or features; or
• — discontinue features where reasonably necessary.

We may also update individual Guides and other content over time.

Lumenara is provided for reflection, inspiration, and entertainment.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Lumenara is provided on an “as available” basis without guarantees that every feature will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every individual purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, protections, remedies, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Jean-François Rondeau and Lumenara will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from reliance on reflective, inspirational, or entertainment content provided through Lumenara.

You remain responsible for decisions and actions you take based on your own interpretation of Lumenara content.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

Your use of Lumenara is also subject to the Lumenara Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, stored, and protected.

We may update these Terms of Use as Lumenara evolves.

When changes are made, the updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

Your continued use of Lumenara after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without limiting any mandatory rights or protections available to consumers under applicable law.
